Who needs an image under 100 KB?
A 100 KB ceiling turns up on a huge share of the web's forms. Online job applications ask for your photo and scanned documents under 100 KB; university admission and scholarship portals set the same cap for photographs, signatures and certificates; and many government service portals allow 100 KB per uploaded file. A photo from a phone is 20 to 50 times bigger than that, so the upload fails until the file is shrunk. This page presets the target to 100 KB: drop in your photo or scan, press Process, and download a version that fits — keeping as much quality as the limit allows.
Questions
How do I compress an image to 100 KB or less?
Drop your image above — the target size is already set to 100 KB — and press “Process images”. ImgShrink lowers the quality step by step, and shrinks the dimensions too if quality alone is not enough, until the result fits under 100 KB.
My document scan looks soft at 100 KB. Any tips?
Text scans are the hardest to squeeze. Keep the output format as JPG, and if the scan is a full page, crop it to the part the form actually needs before compressing — a tighter crop at 100 KB stays far more readable than a whole page squeezed down. If the portal accepts it, the 200 KB page gives scans noticeably more room.
